We need a new generation of politicians and leaders to lead us, not as a country but in the community and for everyone else as well. Nowadays, we have old fart politicians who aren't socially connected with the people and is delusional enough to try to introduce new laws and legislation to the public that is deemed an enemy to free speech. The government should be afraid of the people, not the other way around yet we're slowly letting them take control of things that shouldn't be in their control in the first place. You look at world news, like in the Middle East, dictators trying to hold onto power and using violence against people if the people are against the government, yet when they get rid of the dictatorship, a new wave of dictatorship has a grip on power and that's another hurdle to combat.

In the U.S, the government wants to introduce SOPA (and all that shit with it) because Hollywood is afraid of the Technology world. They want to slow down the progress of it by introducing stupid laws. Yeah, SOPA got killed, but what makes you think that's the end of it? They'll push more and more, these past generation politicians who are currently still in power won't give up easily. It's also a bonus if money is thrown left and right to get ahead, it works, because money is power, but if no money you don't have the power which you can hold the opposition by the throat. Also, look at Occupy Movement, it first started off as something with a cause, then a bunch of idiots joined and the message got clouded and lost. Protesting and online petitions ain't going to do shit, that's slacktivism. You take action, which is much more than that - do something, go out there and take action what you believe can make a difference.

We can laugh now at countries who are now under dictatorship, communism, restricted free speech however one day, just one day our own country could become just like that as well.
